Leadership in Student Organizations Workshop Series
This series is designed to recognize student organizations who are interested in developing a culture of leadership within their organization. Organizations who have a representative attend will receive certificate of completion and will be recognized at the Eagle Awards. Each session will include a informative session, networking opportunities, and an OrgSync touch point. To register for Leadership in Student Organizations, Click Here. Leadership in Student Organizations is a collaboration between the Center for Leadership and Service and the Student Activities Center.
March 7th - SAC Officer Summit
Learn the skills you need to know to be a successful UNT student organization. This session will also cover an overview of the five practices of exemplary leadership as presented in the Student Leadership Challenge by Kouzes and Posner.
**Note** This event does not occur during the regularly scheduled series time and will be held on Wednesday from 2-4pm in the Union 413.
March 15th - Creating an Excellent Campus Event or Program (Model the Way)
Find out how to make your presence known on campus through campus events and programming. this informative presentation by our own Student Activities Center. Develop your organization’s campus image and get noticed!

March 22nd - Spring Break, No Class
March 29th – Community Engagement (Inspire a Shared Vision)
This session will explore the difference between community service, community engagement and philanthropy. This session is ideal for philanthropy officers who are looking for ways to develop innovative philanthropy events.

April 5th - The Power of Communication (Challenge the Process)
This session focuses on the development of communication within an organization, and the skills necessary to promote a student organization on a campus like UNT's.

April 12th - Developing and Cultivating Relationships (Enable Others to Act)
The success of a student organization is based on the strength of the relationships between members. This session focuses on ways to develop relationships with others, clarify personal values, and understand the ethical decisions leaders make.
Guest Speakers: Center for Student Rights and Responsibilities, Multicultural Center, and LEAD Ambassadors.
April 19th - Planning for the Future (Encourage the Heart)
The secret to student organization longevity is continuity through officer training and defining a legacy. This session will focus on the key steps toward officer transition and provide students the opportunity to discuss their legacy and their hope for the future of their organizations.
