The Adopt-a-Block program gives students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to participate in creating a cleaner, more beautiful campus. Your organization or department may choose to adopt a block on campus to keep clean for 1 year. Please contact the Center for Leadership and Service to request a block at (940) 565-3021 or in Union Suite 422. You will be required to sign an Adoption Agreement form.
The best time to request an Adoption Agreement is at the beginning of the Fall or Spring semesters. Once a group has been assigned a block they will be required to clean their block monthly. For every clean up that a group performs they must submit a cleanup reporting form.
Organizations must reapply for blocks for Fall 2011 by September 15, 2011. The Adopt-a-Block orientation will be held September 15 at 12pm–1pm in Union 417. Organizations must send one representative to the orientation.
Agreement
In order to participate in the Adopt-a-Block program each organization must sign and agree to the terms outlined in the Adoption Agreement . This agreement will last for one school year, but it can be renewed at the end of the Summer semester for each additional school year.
