Adopt-a-Block Program

With the Adopt-a-Block Program student organizations can sponsor monthly environmental clean-ups on campus and in the community.

Alternative Spring Break

Spend your spring break making a difference. Applications will be available in September for Spring Break 2012 trips.

Blood Drives

Help market blood drives on campus.  Your student organization can sponsor any of the following drives and help spread the word to UNT students, staff and faculty about how they can donate blood and save lives.  To register, click here

Cancer Awareness Ambassadors

Become a Cancer Awareness Ambassador and help save lives.  Join hundres of  UNT students and staff who are recruiting thousands of people on campus to join the Be the Match Marrow Registry.  Drives occur throughout the year at many events and during Cancer Awareness Week - April 16-20, 2012.  To become an ambassador and help, click here

CANstruction

CANSTRUCTION 2012 - Join UNT students, staff and faculty in the Third Annual CANstruction contest. This canned food collection will benefit the Denton Community Food Center.  Building occurs at the Library Mall on Friday, March 9, 2012.  Check here for the registration packet and sign-up.

Communities in Schools Partnership

Do you want to be a tutor or mentor and make a difference in the life of a local child? Can you lead an activity with a group of students? Do you have a special skill to share with a local youth? Volunteers can meet students at a local elementary through high schools and some are in walking distance from UNT. Attend one of the orientations at UNT and sign-up to make a life changing impact.  Orientations will be on:  Thursday, February 2 froom 4-5pm in Wooten Hall and Wednesday, February 15 from 4-5pm in Wooten Hall.  To register click here.  For more information about Communities in Schools see www.cisnt.org.

Make a Difference Day

Thank you to the 750 UNT Students, staff and faculty who volunteered with Make a Difference Day on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 8am -12pm.    We will begin registering people in September for Make a Difference Day 2012 (October 27, 2012)!

The BIG EVENT

The Big Event is UNT’s newest day of SERVICE and will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012.  Our goal is to increase UNT’s impact on the community by creating an event where students and the entire campus can come together to give back to the community.  Volunteers will meet for a kick-off on campus and depart to various community organizations for a morning of service, following the service, volunteers will return for a celebration!  Be part of this new tradition at UNT!  Save the date and mark your calendars, because the Big Event is coming and you want to BE THERE!  Click here to sign-up.

Non-Profit Expo

Attend one of the fall or spring volunteer fairs, held right on campus to get connected! The Expo is co-sponsored with the Non-profit job fairs through the Career Center.  The Spring Government & Nonprofit Expo is April 19, 2012To learn more contact the Career Center.
